Greg has been helping teams reach their Superior Performance for over 25 years. Read some of our fantastic testimonials below by real coaches and athletes, whose experience with Superior Performance Workshops helped them reach their highest level of performance.
Greg Herring’s Superior Performance Formula has been instrumental in bringing our program from a last place finish in 2014 to first place in 2015. Communication in all levels of our program has made for better team chemistry. Team leaders feel more confident in conflict resolution, the process of setting goals has helped individual and group accountability and individual meetings are much more productive. He has been incredibly generous with his time by taking our constant phone calls and regularly pinging us with thoughts and ideas for us to consider. I would recommend Greg to anyone committed to taking their team to the next level of performance.

I have worked with many Sport Psychology Coaches in my career and Greg ranks at the top of the field. He was dedicated and mastered the mental techniques I teach (Positive Thoughts, Powerful Words and Present Focus) that have been so successful in my work with amateur and professional athletes.
Greg’s formula for achieving Superior Performance in business, sport and life (Clear Values, Clear Goals, Clear Mind and Clear Communication) sets him apart from other Performance Coaches. Greg is also extremely organized, patient, very personable and easy to talk to; a unique combination of qualities that make him a fantastic Coach for teams and individuals, alike.
It is a pleasure working with Greg and I recommend him highly to any business / athletic Team or individual looking to improve their performance.

We were fortunate enough to begin working with Greg Herring at the start of our pre-season in August of 2014. Understanding each other’s different personality traits and communicative styles was at the heart of the teaching. The players very much enjoyed this session, and we as coaches understood to a greater degree, what made the players tick and how better to get points across to different individuals on the team.
While being talented is extremely important to success, there are many other components as important to the overall success of a team. This was a point that received great attention by the staff and players throughout the course of the season as a result of our time spent with Greg.
While we came up just two games shy of becoming National Champions this year, there is no doubt in our staff’s and player’s minds that Greg was paramount in us enjoying great success this past season. We will eagerly wait to work with Greg again next fall and beyond.

Greg Herring has become a part of our team. His efforts off the court include feedback in helping us establish our programs core values, helping us to develop our leaders, helping us understand the best way to communicate with each other, working with our team on confidence and the mental side of the game, and team building activities all to help us be our best on the court. It is just so refreshing to have that “outside” third person perspective to build all these unique yet important areas of our program.

Greg Herring has changed the way I understand team culture! Over the last 4 years, he has helped me implement a structure that has helped me to grow as a leader in countless ways. From helping me define my organizations Purpose, to goal setting, to maintaining a clear mind, to teaching communication strategies, to role descriptions for each and every member of my organization, Greg has added value to every person involved in our organization.
Greg, understands teams, he specializes in human behavior, and will help any coach cultivate a motivating competitive team environment that facilitates growth, through accountability. I have coached teams that have finished as high as #7 in NCAA final rankings, but those same teams were missing something. They were missing many of the structural elements Greg has to offer.
The entire process of creating a vision statement, defining team values, to creating the action steps to assess your progress towards your goals, is something Greg makes very simple. Don’t get me wrong, it’s not easy because the work still has to be done, but if you are looking to grow as a team leader, Greg Herring can help!

Our team is off to a great start and we have to give Greg a lot of credit for this success. Working with him taught our team how to communicate more effectively and be a more cohesive unit. Any team or business could benefit from working with him.

Greg’s approach to achieving superior team performance by defining a Clear Vision, designing Clear Goals, maintaining a Clear Mind and establishing Clear Communication using The Platinum Rule had a tremendous impact on our programs year over year improvement.
Greg has worked with our team each year since the end of our 2011 season; our record was 9-6-3. We ended our 2013 season with a record of 12-7-4 making into the CCAA tournament for the first time since I took over as Head Coach in 2009. We also qualified to compete in the NCAA National Tournament, losing 1-0 in the round of 16. In 2014 we started our season 9-0-0 ending up with a 14-4-1 record overall, both school records for the women’s soccer program. The success Greg helped me achieve at CSUSB provided me the opportunity to land my first Division I Head Coaching job at Saint Mary’s College. I highly recommend Greg to any athletic team or business interested in improving their performance.

We were fortunate to have worked with Greg here at UCSB Women’s Soccer. Greg has made a huge impact in changing our program, going from a last place finish in 2014 to Conference Champions in 2015. He has first helped us establish our Team Culture that we define as PACTD; Passion, Accountability, Commitment, Teamwork and Determination. He then developed our Leadership Group, taught us how to set C.L.E.A.R. Goals and improved our staff’s communication skills. Not only did Greg’s formula for success help me professionally but his techniques facilitated my personal growth as well.

Our program has had a tremendous experience with Greg Herring, and the “Platinum Rule”! The process that Greg takes a team through is in a sense a process of discovery. He has helped our program begin to learn how to behave and build trust in each other, as well as help build strategies to communicate more effectively. It’s not an overnight process to change culture, but having an ignition point is critical in starting the growth of a “culture”. In order for teams to go from good to great, communication strategies are paramount!
I have so much confidence in Greg as a Performance Coach I have invited him back this fall to share his mental discipline and visualization techniques with our Team.
